Weingut Maennle - Durbach
The small family-run vineyard of Heinrich Maennle has achieved phenomenal success in recent years, winning over 400 gold medal prizes, and in 2007 the vineyard was ranked number 12 in the whole of Germany. Their Spaetburgunders have been particularly well received in recent years, winning top prizes across Baden.
The steep granite slopes of Durbach which require manual cultivation, produce wines of great character and finesse.
Karen MacNeil’s Wine Bible places Heinrich’s vineyard as one of the top 10 producers in the whole of Baden.
